PTC Announces Creo 11

On May 8, 2024, PTC announced the launch of its Creo computer aided design（ CAD ） Software And the latest version of Creo+SaaS CAD solution. Creo enables engineers to complete the best design in a shorter time, and Creo 11 is responsible for electrification, composite materials, model-based definition and simulation drive The design and manufacturing aspects of provide a wide range of enhancements.

Through Creo 11, customers can obtain the following functions:  

• Increased availability and productivity : Investments in the core modeling environment include supporting multi-body concepts, simplifying part design workflows, improving shrink envelope functionality for seamless assembly processing, and upgrading shell volume capabilities for optimal packaging solutions.
• Improvement in electrification : The strengthening of wiring and ECAD-MCAD collaboration capabilities is consistent with the growing importance of electrification in various industries. Customers can use routing tools to precisely manipulate the location, place customized components more efficiently, and obtain higher visibility of the harness structure. Additional ECAD functions such as transparency control improve the visibility of PCB stack.
• Design and Manufacture of Reinforced Composites : The progress of composite design, simulation and manufacturing capability will continue to meet the demand of design engineers to use composite materials more and more.
• Extended model-based definition (MBD) tool : A more powerful model-based definition tool enables teams to easily organize design data into simple tables, and both people and machines can read the data through user-defined text, parameter calls, and semantic references.
• Simulation driven design and generative design : Creo 11 introduces a new simulation driven design function to achieve better design conception, guidance and verification. Creo's design generation function has been enhanced, with minimum restrictions on feature size, bearing load support, and plane symmetry constraints.
• Advanced manufacturing tools : Optimized additive manufacturing and subtractive manufacturing tools ensure higher efficiency and versatility in the manufacturing process. Improvements include enhanced lattice structure creation, as well as smoother operations, such as 4-axis turning milling compound machining and area turning.

In addition to releasing Creo 11, PTC has also released the latest version of Creo+. Through Creo+, users can take advantage of the powerful and proven functions of Creo in SaaS solutions, as well as cloud supported collaboration and authorization tools. Creo+is fully upward compatible with locally deployed Creo, and is built based on the same core technology as Creo, so no data conversion is required.
