The increasing number of "northward" passengers from Hong Kong and Macao has become the main factor driving the rapid growth of port passenger flow. Since this year, the number of passengers from Hong Kong and Macao entering and leaving the country through ports has reached 6025000, up 126.3% year on year, accounting for 60.4% of the total passenger flow at ports. Mainland travel to Hong Kong and Macao is also hot, with more than 1.9 million mainland tourists holding Hong Kong and Macao tourism endorsement, up 130% year on year.
During weekends and holidays, the average daily passenger flow and vehicle flow at the port reached 61000 person times and 16100 vehicle times, respectively, 1.5 times and 1.3 times higher than that on weekdays; The maximum daily passenger flow and vehicle flow exceeded 144000 person times and 19500 vehicle times respectively.
With the implementation of the five measures of the National Immigration Administration to facilitate foreigners to come to China and the expansion of visa free countries, more than 158000 foreign tourists have entered and left the mainland via the Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge for business exchanges, tourism and sightseeing, up 412.6% year on year.
