On the evening of May 19, the Nan'an Branch of Chongqing Public Security Bureau released the investigation of the "fat cat" jumping into the river.

According to the police report, Tan (female, 27 years old, from Shizhu, Chongqing) and Liu Jia (male, 21 years old, whose online name is "Pang Mao", from Linwu, Hunan, hereinafter referred to as "Pang Mao") have been dating for more than two years in their real identities, met relatives and friends, and disclosed their love relationship to a certain extent. They have economic contacts with each other and saved money to plan their future lives. The two parties have a real love relationship, Tan's failure to fabricate facts or conceal the truth and cheat "fat cat" property in the name of love does not constitute a crime of fraud.

On May 11, the Nan'an District Branch of Chongqing Public Security Bureau reported to Liu Yi (female, 28 years old, from Linwu, Hunan, "Pangmao" sister, hereinafter referred to as "Liu") that Tan had defrauded his younger brother "Pangmao" of money and made a decision not to file a case according to law, and Liu acknowledged the decision not to file a case. At the same time, through mediation, Liu's parents and Tan have reached a settlement recently, and Tan has fully returned the balance of economic exchanges during their love with "Fat Cat".

After investigation according to law, the police found out that after "Fat Cat" jumped into the river, Liu read the mobile phone left by "Fat Cat" and repeatedly released personal privacy information such as "Fat Cat" and Tan's private chat records, transfer screenshots, etc. through his twitter account. Later, when releasing the memory of "Fat Cat", we continued to expose the relevant address and twitter account of Tan by registering another account to comment and guide in the comment area and inviting relatives and friends to follow. Liu's behavior led to Tan being attacked and abused by netizens. There were many statements threatening Tan's personal safety on the Internet, which seriously affected Tan's normal life and caused chaos in cyberspace. During the investigation, Liu realized the illegality of his behavior and admitted his mistake. The police will deal with it according to the further investigation.

After the death of "Fat Cat", netizens paid close attention to it. Nan'an District Branch of Chongqing Public Security Bureau said in the police information bulletin that it is sad that a fresh life has passed away. May the dead rest in peace. (Reporter Zhou Wenchong)
