The nuclear technology application (isotope) industry has a trillion level market potential and huge social value. Qinshan Nuclear Power Plant has the only commercial heavy water reactor in China. Relying on this advantage, Haiyan County is committed to building the largest isotope industrial base in China - CNNC Qinshan Isotope Production Base with "ten thousand mu and one hundred billion".
It is reported that the base has a total investment of 460 million yuan and plans to build five isotope production lines. After completion, it will effectively enhance the domestic production capacity of isotopes in China. At the same time, the base will also help Haiyan County to form a nuclear technology application industry cluster and promote the future industrial transformation and upgrading.
