Located in the southwest of the motherland, Tibet is one of the highest areas in the world. The high altitude has shaped a distinctive geographical landscape and local customs. Everest, the world's highest peak, also haunts countless literary and artistic youth and tourists. As a photography enthusiast, traveling to Tibet and filming has always been my wish. In late October this year, this wish was finally realized.

The equipment that the author carries this time is Canon EOS 6D Mark II This full frame SLR camera There are three reasons for carrying it: 1. The 26.2 million pixel full frame sensor and DIGIC7 image processor give this camera high image quality performance, and it can shoot landscapes and buildings well. 2. As a lightweight professional model, it can reduce the burden of the author in plateau areas, especially for people like the author who have never been to plateau. 3. It is more convenient to use the flip touch screen for operation, and the machine body has a wireless function to share as you shoot.

In fact, the journey of creation in Tibet began on the plane. When checking in, we chose the position near the window rather than the wing, hoping to shoot continuous snow mountains on the plane.

The premise for taking such photos is that the windows of the plane should be clean. In fact, there are not many photography skills to speak of. Aperture priority mode is enough. The flip touch screen of the 6D II can also let the author finish shooting in a narrow space.

The Potala Palace is a landmark building in Lhasa and a famous tourist resort at home and abroad. The best time to photograph the Potala Palace is in the morning and at night. So at 6:00 the next morning, the author arrived at Yaowang Mountain opposite the Potala Palace with a slight high reflection. This is a very ideal place to wait for the emergence of the sunshine Jinshan landscape.

It is better to use a tripod to shoot buildings, not only to provide a more stable shooting environment, but also to help better composition. The 6D II has the function of an electronic level gauge, which is very helpful in photographing architectural scenery and other subjects requiring horizontal composition. The standard zoom lens with 24-70mm focal length has good applicability. Most of the photos taken in Tibet were taken with this lens. In addition, in order to take pictures of snow mountains and other subjects, the author also brought a 70-200mm telephoto lens.

Set the shooting mode to M gear manual, adjust the aperture to F8, and set the exposure duration to 6 seconds. Before sunrise, the Potala Palace is shrouded in a blue sky, while the pagoda in the close view shows a warm golden yellow color due to the light. The strong contrast of colors is the bright feature of this photo, and also its most charming place.

The most exciting moment of the sun rising is coming. Watching the sun shining on the Potala Palace, the majestic building is slowly blocked with a layer of gold. What the author needs to do is press the shutter to record this fleeting highlight.

Flipping the screen is very convenient for shooting such subjects

I waited for more than two hours to take a picture of the night view of Potala Palace. There is a pond on the square opposite the Potala Palace, which is a good spot for photographing the Potala Palace. The author waited from six o'clock in the evening. At eight o'clock, the Potala Palace was finally lit up. The two-hour wait was not in vain. Flipping the screen makes shooting more convenient, and touch operation is more efficient than physical buttons at night.

The waiting process was not boring. I enjoyed talking with photography enthusiasts. It turned out that all Canon users shared their photography experience in Tibet. By the way, I discussed the various features of the new WeChat EOS R, and two hours later.
