Consular accreditation
7、 Is there a time limit for consular authentication of documents to be sent abroad within China?
  • Release time: 17:17, July 14, 2014

Yes. Some types of notarial documents have limited validity due to their different contents, such as marital status, no criminal punishment, health certificate, etc. The validity period of such notarial documents is generally 6 months, and the validity period of consular certification is also corresponding to this. At the same time, some embassies and consulates in China have special requirements on the timeliness of some types of documents when accepting applications for consular authentication. The parties concerned should promptly handle consular authentication for documents as needed to avoid unnecessary losses.
