12、 What is dual authentication?

The so-called "double authentication" means that before the notarial certificate or other certification documents issued by the relevant institutions in the mainland of China are sent abroad for use, after the consular authentication of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China or the local foreign affairs office entrusted by it is completed, the consular authentication of the embassy or consulate in China of the country where the document is used shall also be handled according to the requirements of the country where the document is used before it can be accepted by the country where the document is used.
