"Double authentication" means that before the notarial certificate or other certification documents issued by the relevant institutions in the mainland of China are sent abroad for use, the consular authentication of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the local foreign office entrusted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is completed, and the consular authentication of the embassy or consulate in China of the country where the document is used is also required to be completed according to the requirements of the country where the document is used, before it can be accepted by the country where the document is used.
