What are the objects and materials required for issuing family reunion visas (Q1 and Q2)?

(1) Issued to
Visa Q1: Family members of Chinese citizens who apply for residence in China due to family reunion (spouse, parents, children, children's spouse, brothers and sisters, grandparents, maternal grandparents, grandchildren, grandchildren and parents of spouses) And family members of foreigners with permanent residence qualifications in China (spouses, parents, children, children's spouses, brothers and sisters, grandparents, maternal grandparents, grandchildren, grandchildren and parents of spouses), as well as persons who apply for entry and residence for reasons such as foster care
Visa Q2: relatives of Chinese citizens residing in China and relatives of foreigners with permanent residence qualifications in China who enter the country for a short period of time (no more than 180 days) to visit their relatives.

   (2) Materials required
1. Passport: original passport valid for more than 6 months with blank visa page and 1 copy of passport photo data page.
2. Visa application form and photos: one copy of the People's Republic of China Visa Application Form and one recent front bareheaded color passport photo with light background pasted on the application form.
3. Certificate of legal stay or residence (applicable to those who apply for a visa not in the country of nationality): If you apply for a visa not in the country of nationality, you need to provide the valid certificate of legal stay, residence, work and study in the country of residence or the original and copy of the valid visa.
4. Original Chinese passport or original Chinese visa (applicable to those who have Chinese nationality before becoming a foreign nationality): If you are applying for a Chinese visa for the first time, you must provide the original Chinese passport and a copy of the passport photo information page; If you have obtained a Chinese visa and applied for a visa with a newly issued foreign passport, you must provide the photo data page of the original foreign passport and a copy of the Chinese visa you have obtained (if the name recorded in the new passport is different from the original passport, you must also provide the official certification document for changing the name).
5. Visa Q1:
In case of family reunion, provide:
(1) An invitation letter issued by a Chinese citizen living in China or a foreigner with permanent residence status in China, which must contain the following contents:
① Personal information of the invitee: name, gender, date of birth, etc;  
② Visiting information of the invitee: reason for coming to China, proposed date of arrival, proposed place of residence, proposed duration of residence, relationship with the inviter, cost source, etc;
③ Information of inviter: name, contact number, address, signature of inviter, etc.
(2) Copy of the inviter's Chinese ID card or passport and permanent residence permit;  
(3) The original and photocopy of the family relationship between the applicant and the inviter (spouse, parents, children, children's spouse, brothers and sisters, grandparents, maternal grandparents, grandchildren, maternal grandchildren and spouse's parents) (marriage certificate, birth certificate, kinship certificate or kinship notarial certificate issued by the police station).  
In case of foster care, provide:
(1) The letter of authorization for foster care issued by Chinese embassies and consulates abroad or notarized by the host country or China;
(2) The original and photocopy of the client's passport and the certificate of kinship with the foster child (marriage certificate, birth certificate, kinship certificate or notarial certificate of kinship issued by the police station, etc.);
(3) Letter of consent to foster care issued by the trustee accepting foster care and photocopy of his ID card;  
(4) If both or one of the parents of a foster child is a Chinese citizen, a copy of the certificate of the Chinese parents' residence abroad at the time of the child's birth shall also be provided.
[Note] After entering China, the bearer must apply to the exit and entry administration of the public security organ of the local people's government at or above the county level in the proposed place of residence for residence documents within 30 days.

Visa Q2:

    ( one A letter of invitation issued by a Chinese citizen living in China or a foreign citizen with permanent residence status in China. The invitation must include the following:

      ① Personal information of the invitee: name, gender, date of birth, etc;

      ② Visiting information of the invitee: reason for coming to China, arrival and departure date, visiting place, relationship with the inviter, cost source, etc;

      ③ Information of inviter: name, contact number, address, signature of inviter, etc.

    ( two A copy of the inviter's Chinese ID card or a copy of the foreigner's passport and permanent residence permit.
