[Walking into Jamaica] The island country Jamaica is located in the northwest of the Caribbean Sea. The terrain of the whole territory is changeable. The northern and western coasts are low alluvial plains and beautiful beaches. The eastern part is mountainous, and the central and western parts are hills and limestone plateaus. Between high mountains and deep valleys, there are gurgling mountain springs flowing out along cliff cracks, gradually converging into streams, and then forming waterfalls into mountain streams, which is very vivid and interesting. Kingston, the capital of Jamaica, is a world famous natural deep-water harbor. It is like spring all the year round and picturesque. It is a tourist resort. Montego Bay, the second largest city known as the "Dream Bay", has endless white sand beaches, romantic scenery, and a variety of water sports that make people addicted. In the history of Jamaica, there were two violent earthquakes at the beginning of the 17th century and the beginning of the 20th century. There is no record of catastrophic earthquake disasters in recent years.

The hurricane prone period is from June to November. In 2007, there was a serious hurricane disaster, which affected the whole island and caused serious losses.

In rainy season, there are many storms. Because of the soft soil in the mountain area, it is easy to cause floods and debris flows, causing damage to roads and bridges.

Local tap water cannot be drunk directly.

The Jamaican specialty "Archie Fruit" can only be eaten after natural ripening and cracking, otherwise it will be poisoned.

Land transportation:

Yah has a road network all over the island, with a total length of 23000 kilometers, which can be reached by major towns, but the road quality is poor, and large pits often appear after rain. The car keeps to the left.
