  • Release time: 16:36, January 4, 2023 Source: Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

At present, the Syrian war is still going on, armed conflicts are frequent, and the security situation is not optimistic.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Chinese Embassy in Syria remind Chinese citizens not to travel to Syria in the near future, and local personnel and institutions should evacuate or transfer to relatively safe areas as soon as possible. In case of emergency, please call the police in time and contact the embassy in Syria.

In view of the special circumstances in the above areas, if Chinese citizens insist on going to or staying in the relevant areas, they may face extremely high security risks and affect the effectiveness of obtaining assistance.
