For some time, some Chinese citizens believed in false online recruitment information such as "highly paid recruitment to Muse, Miaowadi and Tachili in Myanmar", and were forced to engage in illegal activities such as online gambling, telecommunications fraud, and even beaten, illegally detained, and extorted.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Chinese Embassy and Consulate in Myanmar remind Chinese citizens to be vigilant against such false information, not to be deceived, and to travel cautiously to northern Myanmar, Myawady and Tachili regions. Chinese citizens in Myanmar should strictly abide by laws and disciplines, stay away from illegal activities such as online fraud and gambling, ensure personal safety, and report information related to fraud and gambling in a timely manner. In case of emergency, please report to the local police in Myanmar and contact the Chinese Embassy and Consulate in Myanmar for assistance.
In view of the special circumstances in the relevant regions, if Chinese citizens insist on going there, the parties may face higher security risks and affect the effectiveness of obtaining assistance.
