How to replace the CPU of a laptop? Can the computer CPU be changed freely?

What should I pay attention to when replacing a laptop with a CPU? Let's talk about it today. I hope it can help you. Friends who don't know about it can come and see it together.

1. It is necessary to specify the type of socket on the motherboard and which CPUs conform to the type of socket on the motherboard.

2. If the replaced CPU is a high-end four core/six core model, the number of power supply phases on the motherboard must be greater than 4 phases, such as 4+1 phase or 6+1 phase. If the CPU is an ordinary dual core model or a low-end four core APU, 4-phase power supply is OK.

3. Pay attention to the brand of CPU architecture supported by the motherboard. First, distinguish whether the motherboard supports Intel or AMD CPUs. The chipsets of the two brands are very different.

4. Pay attention to fixing the fan. The tightness of the metal baffle used to fix the cooling fan can generally be adjusted. If the CPU with exposed core is not used, the cooling fan should be installed as closely as possible. Otherwise, the cooling efficiency may be reduced and vibration may occur because the cooling fin cannot fully contact the CPU surface.

5. Pay attention to whether the output of the chassis power supply can meet the output voltage and current requirements of the new system. Generally, after upgrading the hardware, the power consumption will increase accordingly, and the power consumption of 4-core CPU will increase a lot compared with that of dual core CPU.

6. Pay attention to clean the heat sink. The CPU cooling fan is harmful to dust inhalation. More dust not only hinders the ventilation of the cooling fin, but also affects the rotation of the fan, so the cooling fan needs to be cleaned after a period of use.

How to replace the CPU of a laptop?

1. First, check the motherboard model. If there are pins on the motherboard, do not use the CPU with pins. If there are no pins on the motherboard, use the CPU with pins.

2. Disassemble the computer host chassis, remove the heating fan on the CPU, and remove the silica gel and dust on the radiator.

3. When installing the CPU, pay attention to whether the interface between the CPU and the CPU rack is consistent. If the CPU is installed without alignment, the CPU pin or motherboard pin will be damaged. Therefore, special attention should be paid when installing the CPU.

4. Apply a layer of silicone on the surface of the CPU. The silicone must be evenly applied. If the silicone is not evenly applied, the heat dissipation performance of the CPU's heat sink may not be fully utilized and the CPU temperature may be too high. 5. Finally, install the radiator and check if there are any other abnormalities on the machine. If not, reinstall the cover of the chassis.
