Recently, the news that BYD's high-end brand will be released in the first quarter of next year has just been confirmed, and then the company registered Yangwang Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. in Shenzhen. Then a voice appeared, saying that BYD's first high-end brand might be called "Yangwang". As expected, BYD officially announced its high-end car brand recently, and named it "Look Up", which also successfully registered a trademark. Interestingly, there was news that BYD's first high-end brand model was named "Star Sky".

According to the enterprise search APP, Huizhou Weishma Technology Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Huizhou BYD Industrial Co., Ltd., has successfully registered a "look up" trademark, which is internationally classified as a means of transportation. This trademark was applied for in October 2021.

At present, in the domestic automobile market, BYD, relying on its own technology accumulation and many popular new energy models, occupies the automobile sales list. According to the analysis report on the national passenger car market in October 2022 by the Passenger Transport Federation, BYD firmly topped the list of retail and wholesale sales in October, both exceeding 200000 vehicles. However, BYD still lacks high priced models to deal with luxury models of other brands. Presumably, this "look up" is BYD's pioneer in exploring prices, benchmarking luxury models of other brands, and entering the high-end market.

According to the strategic deployment of other brands in the past, or many series of brand strategies, consumers will have a certain sense of confusion and separation. However, today's BYD has more or less the same phenomenon. Its dynasty series, ocean series and warship series, in order to benchmark luxury car brands, have to launch "look up", which may not be a good choice.
