--Founder of Yingde Black Tea
Guangdong Yinghong Overseas Chinese Tea Farm (formerly Yingde Tea Farm) is a state-owned enterprise founded in 1951, a key leading enterprise in the industrialization of high standard agriculture, and a modern group company integrating agriculture, tourism, hotel and real estate development.
The company is located in Yinghong Town, Yingde City, the "hometown of black tea", and is the founder of Yingde black tea. In 1987, it registered the "Yinghong" state-owned trademark. After more than 60 years of hard work, the main product of the tea farm, "Yinghong No.9", has been highly praised since its inception.
Yingde, called Yingzhou in ancient times, is a county-level city with a large land area in Guangdong Province. According to textual research, Yingde started producing tea later than the beginning of the Tang Dynasty, which was one of the three tea producing counties in Shaozhou Prefecture of the Tang Dynasty.
In 1956, with the help and support of the Department of Agriculture of Guangdong Province, Yinghong Overseas Chinese Tea Farm gave priority to the introduction of Yunnan big leaf species for trial planting, and then tea production flourished in the whole county. The tea garden area exceeded 6000 hectares, and the tea output exceeded 4375 tons, becoming China's 20 key tea producing counties and the national big leaf broken black tea export commodity base counties. Yinghong Town is famous overseas for its good export of Yinghong tea.
From the late 1950s to the early 1970s, Yinghong Overseas Chinese Tea Plant, Hongqiao, Hongwei and Hongguang, five large-scale mechanized black tea processing plants with initial refining, were built, which are the earliest and largest state-owned tea plants in the country.
