It is understood that since February 28, Yingde Spring Tea has been successively mined, more than 20 days earlier than in previous years. The industry believes that the main reasons for this change include four aspects: first, the temperature of last winter was higher than that of the previous year; Second, the rainfall is relatively uniform; Third, the price of Yingde black tea is good, tea farmers have fine management and apply more organic fertilizer; Fourth, the spring is early this year, and the temperature after the beginning of spring is higher than that in previous years.
Guo Manhua, from Qingyuan Tea Bureau, told reporters that Yingde City has been rated as a "national key tea producing county" by the Tea Circulation Association for three consecutive years and has issued a certificate. According to the research and evaluation of relevant institutions, the value of the public brand of "Yingde Black Tea" has reached 851 million yuan, an increase of 23 million yuan over 2011, which has promoted the economic growth of Yingde tea industry.
According to statistics, the total area of tea gardens in Yingde is 31600 mu, including 26200 mu of tea gardens put into production and 3500 mu of newly planted young tea gardens. The total tea output of the city was 2928 tons, an increase of 163.8 tons or 6% over 2011; The total output value of tea is about 820 million yuan, an increase of about 300 million yuan over 2011, and the average unit price is 14 discounts/jin. More than 30 million high aroma tea seedlings such as Yinghong No. 9 are bred, which can be used to plant 12000 mu of new tea gardens, and can meet the demand for tea development in the city.
This year, Yingde plans to further increase the area of high aroma tea gardens to 5000 mu. On this basis, Yingde City will further improve the quality of Yinghong and create Yinghong brand. It is reported that Yingde will hold the first tea culture festival this year to actively promote Yingde black tea and give play to the brand effect of well-known trademarks. In addition, Yingde tea enterprises will be mobilized and organized to participate in Guangzhou, Shenzhen and other tea fairs.
It is understood that Yingde is a large black tea producing area in Guangdong. In the 1950s, Yingde gathered the tea technology strength of the whole province to make black tea by using the fresh leaves of Yunnan big leaves. Yingde black tea is oily in color, delicate and even, with rich aroma, sweet taste, and bright red in color, which is different from Dianhong and Qihong. In its heyday, Yingde produced and sold 4000 tons of black tea annually, which was fragrant in more than 70 regions, including Europe. Among them, England and Germany black tea is highly praised in Britain, and it is often used to entertain distinguished guests. The production technology and quality of Yingde black tea have reached the international standard of high black tea. In 2007, Yingde black tea was rated as a product of geographical indication protection, which was one of the few products of geographical indication protection in the province at that time.
