At the beginning of the snow, the final of the 8th "Rongcheng Cup" School of Economics and Management Case Analysis Competition was opened in Sidong 306 Lecture Hall on the afternoon of December 13. The purpose of this competition is to stimulate the business insight of the participants through case analysis, encourage students to seek truth and develop new ideas, cultivate students' ability to comprehensively use management knowledge to solve practical problems, and promote the diversified development of the talent training model of the college. The competition was launched in November. More than 100 students from all majors of the School of Economics and Management signed up for the competition. After strict evaluation by experts in the school, eight teams finally entered the final phase.

The jury of the final is composed of experts from the business and academic circles, both inside and outside the school. Gu Yuanxun, professor of the Department of Business Management of the School of Economics and Management of Beijing Jiaotong University, serves as the chairman of the jury. The members of the jury are alumni of doctoral students of the school, Pan Feng, partner of Rongcheng Certified Public Accountants (special general partnership), Wang Kai, general manager of the market and brand department of Rongcheng, and Professor Qiu Xiaodong, vice president of the school Zhao Jianmei, associate professor of Accounting Department, Zeng Delin, and Zhang Nana, associate professors of Business Management Department.

At the opening ceremony, Qiu Xiaodong introduced in detail the outstanding achievements of the School of Economics and Management in recent years. It is pointed out that in 2021, the college will pass the international accreditation of three business schools: EQUIS, AACSB and AMBA&BGA, becoming the 116th business school in the world, the 13th in mainland China and the 3rd in Beijing with three international certifications, which marks that the school's quality has reached the internationally recognized level. This is the achievement of the college's long-term commitment to improving teaching quality, strengthening scientific research strength, and focusing on cultivating international talents. It is also an important reflection of the college's good reputation at home and abroad. This achievement will undoubtedly help students grow into talents. He highly praised the hard work of the team members for the competition in the past, and placed high hopes on the performance of the students. Later, alumni Pan Feng introduced Rongcheng to the students in detail. Rongcheng originated from the Department of Finance of Anhui Province and has a 35 year history of development. It is the only member of RSM, the sixth largest international accounting network in the world, in the mainland. Rongcheng is the leading institution in the CPA industry, currently ranking the seventh in China and the third in domestic capital firms, with a comprehensive income of more than 3 billion yuan. He encouraged students to face future career challenges bravely, give full play to their professional knowledge and skills, and encourage students to cherish school time, study hard, lay a solid foundation for future career, and have better competence to devote themselves to the things they love.

In succession, the donation handover ceremony was held. Qiu Xiaodong issued a donation certificate to Pan Feng, and encouraged more alumni, enterprises and social figures to actively participate in the construction and development of school education.

This competition adopts the group PK system. There are 8 groups in total, which are divided into 4 rounds for PK. Each team will make a 10 minute case presentation, followed by a 5 minute question and answer session. After the end of each group's PK, enter the judges' question session. The wonderful presentation of each group and the sharp and original questions of the judges won the applause of the judges and students on the scene. After more than three hours of fierce competition, eight teams jointly contributed to a wonderful brainstorming.

After the wonderful PK competition, Pan Feng alumni made comments. He thought that the contestants had been carefully prepared, which showed the students' spirit of uplifting. At the same time, he hoped that through this competition, everyone could have a deeper understanding of social responsibility and business innovation.

Finally, Gu Yuanxun, the chairman of the jury, made a wonderful comment and summary speech. He first affirmed the students' performance in case analysis, and also pointed out the existing problems and shortcomings. He emphasized the importance of combining research methods, tools and practice, and encouraged students to pay more attention to the cultivation of the ability of integrating theory with practice in their future studies. After fierce competition, Xiao Yue and Zhao Haoran won the Most Valuable Player Award, the Motorcycle Man Team and the Base Complementary Team won the first prize, the ever popular team, the journal city team and the Beechburg construction team won the second prize, and the Wall Street elite team and the audit accounting team won the third prize compared with my clever plan team and the ah pair team.

Through this case contest, it has effectively promoted the combination of teaching and practice of college students, and mutual learning and exchange between students of different majors. In the process of participating in the formulation of the plan, the students had a deep understanding of the challenges and problems of enterprise management in the real business context, and gained valuable social practical experience from it, which enhanced the students' ability to think and solve practical problems.

The case contest also attracted many students and teachers who love case analysis and actively participated in it, fully demonstrating the values of our school of "knowing micro, understanding judgment, upholding morality, and spreading happiness". I believe that in the future, more people will participate in it and contribute to the development of the college's education.
