China's efforts to promote the trade in of consumer goods have progressed smoothly, and the effects of relevant policies have gradually emerged. Up to now, the number of subsidy applications for car scrapping and renewal has exceeded 40000, showing a trend of accelerated growth.

The reporter learned this from the regular press conference held by the Ministry of Commerce on the 6th. He Yadong, spokesman of the Ministry of Commerce, introduced at the meeting that since the Ministry of Commerce, together with relevant departments, issued the Action Plan for Promoting the Trade in of Consumer Goods and the Detailed Rules for the Implementation of the Subsidy for Trade in of Automobiles, all work has progressed smoothly, started well, and the policy effect has gradually emerged.

Specifically, taking the car trade in as an example, it took 25 days from April 27, when the Ministry of Commerce received the first application for subsidies for car scrapping and renewal on the car trade in information platform, to 10000 applications; It took 7 days from the 10000 th application to the 20000 th application; It only took 4 days from the 20000 to 30000 applications.

From the sales of automobiles, household appliances and other products, in May, the retail sales of passenger cars nationwide were about 1.685 million, up about 10% month on month, of which the retail sales of new energy vehicles were about 790000, accounting for 47% of the total retail sales of passenger cars; 577000 scrapped motor vehicles were recovered, up 48.9% year on year and 16.2% month on month. From January to May, the sales of old for new appliances on major e-commerce platforms increased by 81.8% year on year.

In the next step, the Ministry of Commerce will adhere to the "policy+activity" dual wheel drive and work together with relevant departments to implement the work with greater efforts and higher standards, and promote the exchange of old consumer goods for new consumer goods to achieve more new results.
