Chapter 1 Preface

People who complain less and work harder are always complaining from the moment they are sensible, complaining about their untimely birth, that they were not born into a famous family, that society is unfair, and that Bole does not appreciate them. I used to be the same, because of all kinds of unfair treatment around me, I always had a feeling of dissatisfaction with society, school, work and my boss. Because of complaining, I slack off. Because of complaining, I don't think others' progress is satisfactory. My study, work and life, like my complaints, are not as good as I want.

As a result, I fell into a vicious circle. The more I complained, the more boring my work became, and the degree of effort was greatly reduced. The less efforts I make, the less opportunities and rewards I get. The less opportunities and rewards I get, the more dissatisfied I am and the deeper my resentment grows. Later, I changed jobs, from one industry to another, from one city to another. Everything starts from scratch. I work hard and study hard. Gradually, I was recognized by my colleagues and appreciated by my boss in my work. My position and salary continued to rise, and my complaints disappeared. At this time, I know that I have entered the positive cycle of not complaining. It's hard to say that this job change changed me, because without my later life experience and observation of the world, my mind would not have changed so much. I just walked out of school, full of dreams of utopia, so I always feel that the society is fair, the boss is fair.

Later experience tells me that "absolute fairness and justice" is impossible. Everyone has different talents, efforts and resources. Why should we ask others to be exactly like you. Of course, if you change your mind, you will find that God is fair to everyone. It does not give you superior living conditions, but gives you the courage to challenge life. It did not give Hawking a strong body, but gave him a focus on science. If we have a positive and enterprising attitude, and can enjoy misfortune as a gift from God, we can find success from our shortcomings.

In 1972, the Singapore Tourism Administration submitted a report to Lee Kuan Yew, the former Prime Minister of Singapore, which roughly stated that Singapore has no pyramids in Egypt, no Great Wall in China, no Mount Fuji in Japan, and no waves more than 10 meters high in Hawaii. Singapore has no places of interest except sunshine all the year round. It needs to develop tourism, It is difficult for a skillful woman to make bricks without straw. However, Lee Kuan Yew wrote eight words in his report: "Sunshine is enough!"!

Later, Singaporeans took advantage of the direct sunshine throughout the year to plant flowers and grass, which soon developed Singapore into a world famous "garden city", a tourist destination for many tourists, and ranked third in Asia in terms of tourism revenue for consecutive years.

Don't complain about your major, don't complain about your school, don't complain about your living in a shabby dormitory, don't complain about your poor men, your ugly women, don't complain about your lack of a good father, don't complain about your poor work, low salary, don't complain about your empty skills and no one appreciates you

There are too many disappointments in reality. As long as we have a sunny heart, even if life gives you garbage, you can also step on the garbage under your feet and climb to the top of the world. Don't complain. At that time, you can work hard for your life blueprint! This society requires you to fight under unfair conditions and be a real winner!
