Chapter 1 Preface

The moonlight is like water, and silver shines down, covering the bamboo forest outside Chang'an City with a hazy veil. The breeze is blowing gently, and the bamboo leaves rustle, as if whispering or telling an ancient legend. Deep in an alley paved with bluestone, an ancient house stands quietly, just like a silent guardian.

Yunjin is the most beautiful woman in the ancient town. Her eyes are as deep as the autumn water, with thousands of feelings hidden. Tonight, she was sitting alone at the stone table in the courtyard, playing with a jade pendant in her hand, thinking a lot.

"Yunjin, it's late at night, why don't you rest?" A gentle voice broke the silence of the night.

Yunjin looks up and sees Jiang Yi as her childhood sweetheart. He was dressed in a blue gown, and his face was as smiling as ever.

"Jiang Yi, do you know the origin of this jade pendant?" Yun Jin gently rubbed the jade pendant, and a trace of sadness flashed in her eyes.

"This jade pendant... didn't your father leave it for you?" Jiang Yi sat down and asked quietly.

"Yes, but it still has a secret." Yun Jin's voice was deep and sad, "I heard that this jade pendant is the key to a dusty memory."

"Dust laden memory?" Jiang Yi frowned, puzzled.

"Yes, a story about my parents." Yun Jin said slowly, "They were once a pair of chivalrous men in the Jianghu, but they separated because of a misunderstanding. My father gave me this jade pendant before he died, hoping that I could find my mother and solve the misunderstanding."

Jiang Yi is silent. He knows that Yunjin has always had a knot in her heart, the story about her parents.

"Yunjin, I will accompany you to find it," Jiang Yi said firmly.

Yunjin looked up, her eyes shining with gratitude, "Thank you, Jiang Yi."

The two people sat side by side, the moonlight sprinkled on them, as if they were covered with a layer of silver gauze.

A few days later, Yunjin and Jiang Yi embarked on the journey to find Yunjin's mother. After many hardships, they finally came to a remote mountain village.

At the end of the mountain village, they found a simple hut. Yunjin's heart leaped, and she felt an inexplicable intimacy here.

"Mother!" Yunjin pushed open the door of the hut, her voice trembling and excited.

Inside, a white haired old woman was spinning. She looked up and saw Yun Jin and Jiang Yi. A little surprise flashed in her eyes.

"Are you...... Yunjin?" The old woman's voice was trembling and excited.

"Mother!" Yun Jin rushed forward, hugged the old woman tightly and burst into tears.

The old woman stroked Yunjin's head, her eyes full of guilt and love, "My child, I finally wait for you."

After Yunjin and her mother met, they hugged each other and cried bitterly. Jiang Yi stood by silently, happy for Yun Jin.

However, when Yunjin asked about the misunderstanding, her mother fell silent. She told Yunjin that the misunderstanding had gone deep into the marrow and could not be easily solved.

Yunjin's heart was wrung when she heard this. She didn't want to see her parents regret a misunderstanding for life. She decided to use her own strength to resolve this misunderstanding.

However, things were not as simple as she thought. In the process of finding the truth, Yunjin and Jiangyi encountered many difficulties. They have to face not only the dangerous forces in the Jianghu, but also their own inner struggles and pains.

In a battle of life and death, Jiang Yi was seriously injured in order to save Yunjin. He lay on the bed, his face as white as paper. Yunjin sat by the bed, holding his hand tightly, and tears kept falling down.

"Jiang Yi, you must get better." Yun Jin's voice choked, "I can't live without you."

Jiang Yi opened his eyes with difficulty and looked at Yunjin's haggard and determined face. A warm current surged in his heart. He smiled and said, "Yunjin, I will live strong for you."

Under the careful care of Yun Jin, Jiang Yi finally recovered. They continued to search for the truth and finally uncovered the truth of the misunderstanding. Yunjin's parents wept bitterly when they learned the truth. They finally let go of their old grudges.

Yun Jin and Jiang Yi stood by and watched the scene with great emotion. They know that they have experienced too many hardships and pains along the way, but it is these experiences that make them cherish each other's feelings more.

Moonlight sprinkles all over the earth. Yunjin and Jiang Yi walk hand in hand in the bluestone alley of the ancient town. Their faces are full of happy smiles. They know that love can overcome all difficulties.
