Qinhuangdao Branch of Northeastern University has attached great importance to humanities and social sciences research in recent years, established a series of academic institutions focusing on liberal arts, and regularly held "academic forums" on campus to further promote humanities and social sciences research. The development of the history discipline is a distinctive liberal arts field of Northeast University Qinhuangdao Branch. It has master degree programs or research directions such as the history of science and technology, modern history and regional social history under the discipline of regional economy, etc., forming a multi integrated development model with discipline development, academic research, teacher team construction, etc. At present, the school has more than ten doctoral teachers in history, forming a vibrant discipline team. History is a scientific study of the past society, covering an extremely rich range. The school is based on scientific research and has a strong sense of social responsibility. In order to closely communicate with the academic community and regularly launch research results, the university plans to establish an academic journal with history as the main subject and related majors: Research on Chinese History and Traditional Culture, based on comprehensive consideration, verification of academic experts and the needs of the country and society. The collection focuses on history, including ancient Chinese history, political system history, folk culture history, socio-economic history, science and technology history, historical data collection, interviews with famous scholars, academic trends, etc. Academic achievements in the form of collections are an important academic front. In eastern Hebei, especially in Qinhuangdao, there is no academic collection officially published by a publishing house, except for the school journals of some universities and the internal journals of relevant institutions. The Collection of Studies on Chinese History and Traditional Culture is of great significance to fill the gap.
