News from our correspondent (Li Yao) On the hundreds of meters of snow track, a team of red dress players held the team flag and galloped down from the track, showing their brave demeanor. Recently, Yanqing District's "Winter Olympic Skiing Volunteer Service Team" was established in Badaling Ski Resort. 72 local ski professionals selected through the test gathered on the snow for the first time. On February 15, the first test event of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Games will be held, and they will provide various peripheral event support services to show the world the charm of Beijing Yanqing.

In order to build a team of volunteer service and snow and ice skilled talents with international standards and provide skilled talents support for the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Games and the Beijing Test Series, in October 2019, Yanqing District Sports Bureau recruited skiers from all over the region. A total of 152 people signed up. Through the selection test, 72 outstanding skiers were selected into the Yanqing District Winter Olympic Skiing Volunteer Service Team.

"The team members selected this time come from many fields in Yanqing District, such as party and government organs, public institutions, health care, private enterprises, etc. Most of them are amateur skiers. They not only have certain skiing skills, but also have outstanding foreign language, emergency treatment and other abilities. They can combine skiing skills, industry knowledge and personal expertise to provide multi-dimensional service guarantee for the event. ”Introduced by Hass, Deputy Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of Yanqing District Sports Bureau.

There are many snow experts such as Lang Enge and Guo Junhua in the volunteer service team, and local "ice and snow stars" in Yanqing. In July 2017, at the foot of Haituo Mountain, Zhangshanying Town, Yanqing District, one of the Winter Olympics venues, Lang Enge, once a "shepherd", led young people to set up a farmers' ski team. Over the past two years, the farmers' ski team has 31 members, of whom more than 10 have successfully obtained the first level teaching certificate of international ski instructor after examination. Skiing skills training, board repairing and waxing, English and rescue knowledge learning... Yanqing District Government provides a platform to help each team member constantly enrich themselves. When the snow season comes, the team members also teach skiing skills to villagers, students and volunteers.

As one of the few female members of the farmers' ski team, Guo Junhua set up the Haituo Star Children's Public Welfare Skiing Training Camp to teach children to ski free of charge. In summer, she simulated training on indoor ski machines, and in winter, she snowed at Shijinglong Ski Resort. "Everyone has his own dream. My dream is to complete his ski public welfare dream before the Winter Olympics, and drive more people to enjoy the fun of ice and snow. Now is the time closest to the dream, and the time to work hard for it is very happy." Guo Junhua said sincerely.

In the upcoming test event of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Games - Alpine Skiing World Cup, the volunteer service team will for the first time provide order maintenance, audience organization, athletes' entrance guidance and other peripheral events. In the future, Yanqing District will also subdivide the volunteer service teams, introduce world-class training resources from Switzerland and other countries, and plan to use three years to focus on medical and health services, emergency rescue services 7 positions including the comprehensive service of the Games will be trained to ensure that they will do their best after the training. Through training, we will strive to make our team members become interns of the Winter Olympic test events, participants of the Winter Olympic Games, and core backbones of volunteer services and ice and snow skills services for the post Winter Olympic Games.
