It is located 30 kilometers north of Changping District, formerly known as "Iron Wall Silver Mountain". It is named because the cliff is as steep as a tall wall, black as iron, and white after heavy snow. The Buddhist Holy Land to the east of Liao and Jin Dynasties is one of the "Eight Sceneries of Yanping" in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.

The Liao Dynasty pagodas in Yinshan are the most famous scenic spots in China. The pagoda group has a history of more than 600 years since the Jin and Yuan Dynasties. The people have always said that there are countless pagodas on the silver mountain. The most spectacular one is the golden pagoda in Fahua Temple. Large groups of towers are tens of meters high, while small ones are meters in diameter. They are scattered in height, orderly in layout and consistent in structure. They are all octagonal planes. There are many reliefs on the tower body, which are old but well preserved. It is said that because of the high mountains and long roads here, they were able to survive in the turbulent years.

There are three main peaks in the front, middle and back of the scenic spot, and the middle peak is the highest. The color of pine, cypress and oak trees all over the mountains also varies with the change of tree species, such as dark green, light green and so on.

In ancient times, Yinshan used to be a good place for Buddhist scriptures and literati to live in seclusion. It was as famous as Jinshan Temple in Zhenjiang, and there was also a saying of "South Jin, North Yin". Deng Yinfeng, an eminent monk of the Tang Dynasty, once lectured on the mountain.

The Biyin Mountain is not only beautiful, but also famous for many ancient pagodas. The Liao Dynasty pagodas in Yinshan are the most famous scenic spots in China. The tower group has a history of more than 600 years since the Jin and Yuan dynasties, through the Ming and Qing dynasties. The tower group has been built over 600 years, which is known as the "innumerable pagodas in Yinshan". Large groups of towers are tens of meters high, while small ones are meters in diameter. They are scattered in height, orderly in layout and consistent in structure. They are all octagonal planes with exquisite shapes. The tower body has many reliefs with beautiful lines. They have gone through vicissitudes of life, but they are well preserved. It is said that because the mountains are high and roads are long, and people are rarely seen here, they were able to survive the iron disaster in the turbulent years.

The scenic spot has three main peaks, the front, the middle and the back. The middle peak "rises out of the sky alone" is the highest, with an altitude of 726.81 meters. The scenic spot is characterized by beautiful mountains, beautiful trees and many towers. The beauty of the mountain originates from the pine, cypress and oak trees all over the mountains. The color also varies with the change of the tree species, showing dark green, light green and other colors. At the southern foot of Yinshan Mountain, there are many ancient pagodas standing among the canyons. The most spectacular one is the Jin Dynasty pagoda in Huachan Temple.

Climbing up the steps along the Tabian Mountain Road, surrounded by green pines and cypresses and mountains, and then catching the sunset and rosy clouds, the silver mountains are more than "particularly enchanting"! Although the height of Yinshan Mountain can not be said to be towering into the clouds, it is also extremely steep. The mountain road is basically a step road, or circling, or going up and down like a staircase. The scenery of the top of Yinshan Mountain is infinite, which will completely dissipate all your fatigue and bring you the infinite pleasure of "meeting the top of the mountain and embracing the small mountains"!

Yinshan got its name from the "thick accumulation of ice and snow, as white as silver" in winter; It is also called "Iron Wall Silver Mountain" because "there are stone cliffs at the foot of the mountain, all of which are black". One thousand and three hundred years ago, Deng Yinfeng, an eminent monk of the Tang Dynasty, preached scriptures here and built Huayan Temple. In the Liao Dynasty, Baoyan Temple was built in front of the mountain. In the third year of Jintianhui (1125 AD), the temple was rebuilt as the Great Shengyan Temple, and rebuilt in the 13th year of Zhengtong (1448 AD) of the Ming Dynasty. The temple was awarded the name of "Fahua Temple", with 72 temples under its head. It is a famous temple in the suburbs of Beijing. Inside the temple, there are seven monk burial pagodas, including five brick pagodas with dense eaves in the Jin Dynasty and two Lama pagodas in the Yuan Dynasty. Many monk pagodas of different forms have also been built on the surrounding foothills.
