Introduction to Baise

Baise is located in the west of Guangxi, at the border of the motherland, bordering Guizhou in the north, Yunnan in the west, Nanning in the east, and Vietnam in the south. The border is 360.5 kilometers long. The total area of the city is 36300 square kilometers. Baise is an old revolutionary base area where Comrade Deng Xiaoping led and launched the Baise Uprising in 1929, created the Seventh Army of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army, and established the Youjiang Revolutionary Base Area and the Soviet regime. There are seven ethnic groups in Baise, including Zhuang, Han, Yao, Miao, Yi, Gelao, and Hui, with a total population of 3.7 million. Ethnic minorities account for 87% of the total population, of which Zhuang accounts for 80%. In November 2002, with the approval of the State Council, Baise was abolished and a prefecture level Baise city was established, with 12 counties (districts) and 183 towns under its jurisdiction. Baise makes full use of opportunities such as accelerating the western development, establishing the China ASEAN Free Trade Area and the Pan Pearl River Delta Economic Zone to adhere to scientific development
