On November 6, 1949, with the liberation of the county seat, the People's Government of Lianfeng Town was established.
In 1958, when it became a commune, it was renamed Chaomei commune, and soon the town of Lianfeng was restored.
In 1961, it was merged with Fucheng into a city commune, and soon was divided into Lianfeng Town.
In 1969, it was merged with Fucheng Commune again to become Chengguan Commune.
In 1976, Chengguan Town was established.
In October 1984, it was renamed Lianfeng Town.
Cancelled in September 1993Wenchuan Township17 administrative villages in Fucheng will be included in Lianfeng Town.

Qiu's Academy, located at the front of Guanzhi Mountain under the Five Old Peak, was built in the Song Dynasty and built in the Ming Dynasty. There are national key scenic spots and national 4A tourist areas in Lianfeng TownGuanZhai mountain。[1]Guanzhi Mountain is located in the east of Liancheng County, six miles away from the city.The name of the mountain has undergone changes. When the county was not built in Liancheng, it was called Gutian Township of Changting County, so it is called Dongtian Stone.In the Yuan Dynasty, Yin Ma and Zhou Qing, acting as the county's deputy, opened up the north and south chasms of the mountain, towering over peaks, with thousands of stones shaped like lotus flowers, so they renamed it Lianfeng Mountain, and listed thirteen scenic spots from the mountains, which were carved in stone with seal characters and official script.
