The largest bleaching earth manufacturer in Malaysia is WIH Company, whose active bleaching earth production began in 1985. It uses imported bentonite and sulfuric acid from its chemical company in Perak to produce active bleaching earth. The company has five production lines, with an annual output of 60000 tons of active bleaching earth, which is mainly used for refining edible oil and fat.

The company intends to rebuild its activated bleaching earth industry, mainly by jointly investing in the bleaching earth industry with Silver Plus, one of the members of Tyco consortium in Malaysia, to greatly increase its output, with each holding 50% shares^[2] 。
