Yang Guozhen went fromPeking UniversityGraduated from the Department of Physics, and stayed at Peking University to work after graduating from the graduate student of theoretical physics in 1965;In 1967, he joined the Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences;In 1978, he was exceptionally promoted to associate researcher;From 1985 to 1999, he served as the director of the Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences;In 1985, he was specially approved as a doctoral supervisor in optics;In 1986, he was promoted as a researcher;In 1999, he was elected as an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and in 2000, he was employed as anCollege of Science, University of Science and Technology of Chinadean[2]。
Yang Guozhen's main research field is optical physics. He has carried out systematic and in-depth research in many aspects in this field and made pioneering achievements.At the same time, he also made corresponding contributions to theoretical physics, condensed matter physics and other research fields[3]。

Overview of scientific research
Yang Guozhen took the lead in carrying out optical computing research in China. He proposed the theory of realizing multiple given transformations using an optical system composed of a single holographic lens and successfully realized some typical examples in experiments.The theory of phase recovery in optical systems is developed, and a new algorithm for phase recovery in lossy systems is proposed.The theory of optical pulse propagation in nonlinear media is studied, and the phenomenon and asymmetry of ultra broadening of optical pulse spectrum are explained.He led the theoretical and experimental research on nonlinear optics of surfaces, interfaces, quantum wells, etc., presided over the preparation of oxide films by laser method and the development of laser molecular beam epitaxy equipment, and made important achievements in the research on oxide superconductors at liquid nitrogen temperature[1]。
