The operation method and steps of importing CAD layout into the model are as follows:

1. Open the CAD software and enter the layout space. In the layout space, you can see the figures fixed to the national opera regulations, as shown in the following figure.

2. Select "File" in the menu bar, and then click the "Import Layout" option shown by the arrow, as shown in the following figure.

3. In the pop-up dialog box, find and select the layout file to import, and click the "Open" button. Then, you can set import parameters in the operation interface, such as rotation angle and coordinate system before and after import. After setting, click "OK" to import, as shown in the following figure.

4. After importing, select the destination to save and modify the file name (optional). If you need to edit or print a layout drawing, you can do so in the operation interface. As shown in the figure below.

5. After the import is successful, the layout drawing can be seen in the model space, and can be edited and printed. As shown in the figure below.

6. Finally, it should be noted that the imported layout drawing will be automatically converted to a 3D model when viewing the legend in model space. This allows you to edit and plot layout drawings in model space.

Right click in the layout menu: it is an option to input the layout into the model space. If it is not available, your CAD version is too low

If you have an existing DWG/DXF format file, you can export it to IFC or STEP format, and open and import it in Revit, SketchUp and other software that supports this format. In this way, the plane layout can be displayed in three-dimensional form. Remember to adjust the perspective and detail accuracy for best results

Another method is to use plug-ins such as ArchLink or IFC Importer. After installation, find the corresponding toolbar button in the model interface, drag the CAD file directly into the model view, and the system will automatically identify and create the corresponding 3D model

In CAD, you need to convert the floor plan into a 3D model first. Select a drawing to the 3D tool, import your plan data according to the prompt, set the scale and coordinate system, and click Generate
