When dealing with problems, we can do some steps to add new chapters without changing the table of contents. Here is a simple step guide:
1. Open the document and find the location of the directory.
2. Insert a new title or paragraph mark in the document.
3. Right click the cursor and select "Insert Directory".
4. Select "Update Directory" in the pop-up menu.
After completing the above steps, the new chapter will be added to the table of contents correctly and will not affect other parts.
