The following steps can be followed to install the rubber pad under the enter key of ASUS notebook:
1. First, make sure that you have obtained the correct model and size of rubber pad and the required tools.
2. Turn off the computer and disconnect the power.This is to avoid any current passing through the laptop and causing harm to you.
3. Use a small flat screwdriver or suction cup to gently remove the key cap on the enter key.Please be careful not to use too much force to avoid damaging other parts.
4. Once the key cap is removed, please check whether the original rubber pad is still in place.If there is any residue or stain, please use a cotton swab and detergent to wipe it gently.
5. After confirming that the key cap area is clean and free of foreign matters, apply a small amount of double-sided adhesive tape on the newly purchased rubber pad.Ensure that the entire bottom is covered and that no excess double-sided adhesive is exposed.
6. Paste the new rubber pad under the enter key, and apply slight pressure to make it firmly adhere to the original position.
7. Finally, check again whether everything is correctly installed and tightly connected, and reinstall the enter key cap.Make sure that the key cap is exactly aligned with the rubber pad, and gently press down until the key cap is fully returned.
