Beijing Jiaotong University Archives (School History Museum) successfully held the first school history culture salon

On the evening of November 19, the Archives planned to hold the first school history and culture salon, with the theme of "Jiaotong University's historical origin and cultural heritage". As one of the series activities of the Jiaotong University School History Archives Work Seminar, Hu Duan, Deputy Director of the School History Research Office of the Shanghai Jiaotong University Archives Management Center, Yang Lantao, Deputy Director of the School History Center of the Xi'an Jiaotong University Archives Cui Xiaochen, director of the History Office of the Archives of Southwest Jiaotong University, and Gao Jie, director of the History Research Office of the Archives of Beijing Jiaotong University, had a discussion with the students.
         

In the activity, four teachers talked about the history of the founding of four Jiaotong University and the changes of separation and integration in different historical periods, and focused on the background, process and far-reaching significance of President Ye Gongchuo's cooperation with Jiaotong University from different levels. During the activity, the four teachers also deeply interpreted the fine traditions and cultural symbols of the four Jiaotong University, and introduced the school motto, school song, school card and school running tradition of each school.

The four teachers spoke funny language and the atmosphere of the activity scene was warm, which received positive responses from the students. The students exchanged views with the teachers of the four universities on how to better protect and inherit the history and culture of Jiaotong University. The principals of the four universities who attended the Jiaotong University School History Archives Seminar came to the school history culture salon to interact with the students.

The school history culture salon is a brand activity of school history culture communication cultivated by the school archives (school history museum), and an important platform to display the school history, promote teachers and students to understand and inherit the school history culture. Later, we will invite old comrades, experts and alumni to tell stories about the school history to teachers and students, so as to better carry forward the culture of Jiaotong University.
