CFP exam time | exam duration

CFP arranges an exam on the weekend of the last week of each month. The exam lasts for two days, three subjects on the first day and two subjects on the second day. Candidates can register for one or more subjects at a time. If they fail the exam once, they need to wait 60 days before taking the exam again.

There can be 5 subjects in the CFP International Financial Planner Examination. Candidates do not need to pass the examination of 5 subjects at a time, but only need to pass all the subjects within the validity period of the CFP completion certificate (4 years). CFP The last weekend of each month will be arranged with examinations, which will last for two days. The first day will take three subjects, and the second day will take two subjects. Candidates can register for one or more subjects at a time. If they fail the exam once, they need to wait 60 days before taking the exam again.

There are five CFP exam subjects, as follows:

The exam time of Investment Planning is in the morning From 9:00 to 12:00, there are 90 single choice questions, and the exam duration is 3 hours;

The examination time of Employee Welfare and Retirement Plan is noon From 13:30 to 15:00, there are 45 single choice questions, and the exam duration is 1.5 hours;

The examination time of Personal Tax and Heritage Planning is in the afternoon From 16:00 to 17:30, there are 45 single choice questions, and the exam duration is 1.5 hours;

Investment Planning, Employee Welfare and Retirement Planning, and Personal Tax and Heritage Planning are the first 3 exam subjects.

The exam time of Personal Risk Management and Insurance Planning is in the morning From 9:00 to 11:30, there are 75 single choice questions, and the exam duration is 2.5 hours;

The examination time of Comprehensive Case Analysis is noon From 13:30 to 17:00, there are 60 single choice questions, and the exam duration is 3.5 hours.

The Personal Risk Management and Insurance Planning and Comprehensive Case Analysis are the second day's 2 exam subjects.

Note: Attend CFP exam requires obtaining AFP certificate first.

CFP Examination subjects include 5 subjects, except for Comprehensive Case Analysis, the other four subjects have no restrictions on the order of application. Comprehensive Case Analysis is the last subject to apply for the exam. You can only apply for the exam after passing the other four professional subjects.
