The report of the 17th National Congress of the Chinese Trade Union proposed to earnestly protect the legitimate rights and special interests of women workers. Safeguarding the legal rights and special interests of women workers is an important responsibility of trade unions, which is not only the requirement of the Party for trade unions, but also the urgent desire of women workers.
First, we need to establish and improve the working mechanism for women workers to safeguard their rights. Trade union organizations should persist in actively and scientifically safeguarding their rights in accordance with the law, so as to institutionalize and legalize the content and method of trade union protection of women workers' rights and interests. Participate in national and local legislation and policy formulation involving the legitimate rights and interests and special interests of women workers through various channels, put forward legislative suggestions, motions and proposals through the deputies to the National People's Congress and CPPCC members in trade union organizations, and participate in the research, deliberation and revision of laws and regulations; In the process of tripartite consultation on labor relations between the trade union and representatives of the government and enterprises, the role of women workers' organizations of the trade union should be played.
Second, we should promote the implementation of laws and regulations. Actively promote the implementation of laws and regulations such as the Labor Law, the Labor Contract Law, the Law on the Protection of Women's Rights and Interests, the Trade Union Law, and the Special Provisions on the Labor Protection of Women Workers, strengthen communication and cooperation with the government and administrative departments, actively cooperate with the National People's Congress, the CPPCC and the Ministry of Labor to carry out relevant law enforcement inspections, and participate in supervision and rectification. To supervise the infringement of women workers' rights and interests by means of joint investigation and setting up a hotline for women workers' rights and interests protection, and to put an end to the infringement of women workers' legitimate rights and interests and special interests.
Third, we should increase efforts to solve practical problems for women workers. Under the new normal of economic development, especially the supply side structural reform and the implementation of the comprehensive two child policy, the realization of rights and interests of female employees in terms of employment, labor protection, maternity security and other issues will be studied in depth, and the maintenance of rights and interests of female employees in the process of enterprise closure, suspension, transfer and relocation will be highly concerned, so as to timely grasp the rights demands and development needs of female employees. We will vigorously implement the "Caring Action" for women workers, deeply understand and master the production and living conditions of women workers, and truly help women workers solve the contradictions, difficulties and problems they encounter in employment and life. We will establish and improve the archives of women workers in extreme poverty, carry out "student aid activities", "sister love" activities, and mutual assistance and security work for women workers with special diseases, so as to improve the health level and health care awareness of women workers. Further study and explore measures to help and rescue women workers with single parent difficulties, and focus on helping women workers with single parent difficulties.
Fourth, we should improve the attractiveness, cohesion and combat effectiveness of women workers' organizations of trade unions. Efforts will be made to promote the construction of non-public economic organizations, social organizations, and women workers' organizations of trade unions in towns (streets), development zones (industrial parks), and free trade zones, and expand the effective coverage of women workers' organizations of trade unions in new fields and new classes. In combination with new situations and problems, we will explore and innovate the ideas, contents, forms, methods and methods of the work of women workers in trade unions, and give new vitality to the work of women workers in trade unions. We will further strengthen the construction of the labor union's female staff team, and provide talent support for the protection of the legitimate rights and interests of women workers and special interests.
