"The use of factory make-up distribution technology can save nearly a week of on-site assembly time and greatly improve the construction efficiency." Recently, at a power grid construction site in Jiashan County, Zhejiang Province, the State Grid Jiashan Power Supply Company used the factory make-up distribution technology innovated by Li Feiwei, an employee, to complete the installation of linear poles and other modules in just two days, significantly improving the operating efficiency.

Li Feiwei, 46, has been working in the power industry for 26 years and is currently in charge of the Model Worker Innovation Studio (Innovation Base) of the State Grid Jiashan Power Supply Company. Recently, Li Feiwei was rated as the model worker of Zhejiang Province in 2024, adding a new highlight to his career.

In 1998, Li Feiwei, 20, became a grass-roots power distribution line worker. As a novice, he learned from Han Minghua, a model worker in Zhejiang Province. Under the guidance of his master, his distribution network technology continued to improve.

"I often follow my master to play with tools in the warehouse and make reasonable modifications to some of them. Since then, the seeds of innovation have been planted in my heart," Li Feiwei recalled.

Li Feiwei paid special attention to the quality and efficiency of construction safety after a long period of trial and error in the power grid. To improve the efficiency of cable assembly and other issues, in 2016, he innovatively proposed the factory make-up and distribution project, and spent one year to manufacture a standardized cable processing device, establishing the first domestic power factory make-up and distribution workshop. After three years of experiments, the project has received widespread attention in the industry and has been comprehensively promoted in Zhejiang Province, creating a direct economic benefit of 314 million yuan.

In the following years, innovative projects such as "humanoid live working robot" and "automatic equipment debugging device" designed by Li Feiwei not only won awards in the industry appraisal, but also were put into use in actual operations to continue to create economic benefits for enterprises.

He has successively won the second prize of Zhejiang Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award in 2020, the first prize of State Grid Corporation of China in 2021, and has 65 patents... Li Feiwei has gradually become a well-known local "power inventor".

"Keep forging ahead on the innovation road, overcome difficulties, and strive to develop grassroots' small ideas' into influential industry 'great inventions'," said Li Feiwei.
