Many companies have lost important customers because of color quality problems. However, today in the printing industry, we will find that our eye color discrimination ability is becoming more and more unreliable due to the influence of light source, working environment and differences between human eyes. Therefore, we should establish a standard color environment.

The so-called Color Management System is to correct various devices through scientific and digital methods, and record the colority of the device in the "feature file", so as to obtain predictable colors on the device and reproduce colors in different output environments.

The printing effect will be different. In order to carry out accurate color space conversion and color matching, the system equipment must be processed.

1. Implement color management on the display The computer we use usually has an ICC feature file, so color displays are easiest to characterize and generate profile files. Users can manually adjust the display and graphics card, so that the display and graphics card can communicate with each other and combine the operating system to display color images.

2. The implementation of color management for scanners and digital cameras involves other problems. The scanner usually has its own software to control imaging, but any adjustment should be able to be input into the operating system, and then into the color management software. The printer is the most difficult part of the color management system, and its principle is a subtractive method.

The so-called subtractive method refers to the mixing of pigments and pigments. The more mixed the pigments, the darker the color will be. Cyan (C), magenta (M) and yellow (Y) are the three primary colors of subtractive method. Theoretically, the three primary colors will become black after being completely mixed. However, because the ink contains impurities, it cannot show pure black during printing, and will become a thick and turbid color. Therefore, when printing, black ink (K) is added and becomes four colors, which can not only represent the primary color of pure black, but also reduce the use of total ink, as is the case with printers.
