Even at the age of 90, old men will not give up talking about sex and sex, and even "thieves" will not die. As for about half of the old men who are no longer active, they either have physical problems or have no opportunities or are restricted.
Due to the lack of data on sexual activities of the elderly, Dr. Hyde et al. of Australia conducted a survey on sexual attitudes and behaviors, as well as physical and social factors affecting their sexual activities, among 2783 community-based Australian men aged 75 to 95 at three time points between 1996 and 2009, and measured their testosterone levels. Two thirds of the respondents were married or had long-term sexual partners, 85.9% reported having some sexual activity in their lifetime, most of them only had sex with the opposite sex, and most of them had only one sexual partner. 48.8% of them believe that sex is an important part of their life to some extent. 30.8% of the people have had sex at least once in the past year, more than half of the 857 people are satisfied with their sexual life frequency, and 43% hope more. The frequency of sexual awareness and sexual activity decreases with age. 59% of respondents aged 75 to 79 believe that sex is an important part of life, and 39.6% have had sex in the past year; Only 20.9% and 11% of them are over 90 years old.
Almost half of the sexually inactive elderly men said that their main reason was that they had physical problems, or had no opportunities or were restricted. Other reasons include lack of interest and physical problems with your partner. Multivariate cross-sectional analysis showed that the decline in sexual activity was related to the following factors:
―― Age increase; ―― The partner lacks interest Physical limitations of partners osteoporosis Syndrome;
―― prostatic cancer ;―― diabetes ;―― Taking antidepressants use β Receptor blockers.
A longitudinal analysis had similar results and found that each standard deviation increase in free testosterone would be accompanied by a 20% increase in sexual activity. However, it is not clear whether testosterone treatment will bring positive effects, especially because the most common cause of sexual inactivity is men's health problems. It seems that a considerable proportion of elderly men's sexual needs have not been met.
